OCPL Digital Library: New York Times online

This guide contains information about all of the online resources that the OCPL offers.

The OCPL is now providing free online access to the New York Times. Users will have unlimited access inside the library, and while logged into the library's Wi-Fi network. Outside of the library, users will have access for 72 hours at a time, and then will need to go through the process of registering again. The library makes available issues from the current edition back to 1982.

How to Access

Click the New York Times logo to start, then enter the promo code 1c058d8b613cac17 to get access. Click “Register” to create an account with your personal email address, or “Sign In” if you already have created an account. Once you log in, your session lasts up to 72 hours before you need to log in again. PLEASE WRITE DOWN THE PASSWORD YOU CHOOSE THE FIRST TIME, AS YOU WILL NEED TO USE THE SAME PASSWORD FOR ANY LATER LOG-INS.

Inside the library or on Wi-Fi in the library, please use the link nytimes.com instead. While in the library or on library Wi-Fi, access will be free.
